Availability Overlap

After trying to organize a get together of 20 people I soon realized collecting and analyzing everyone's availability for only a few days was a daunting task that could be automated. So I created Availabillity Overlap, where a user can set days and times to poll for and collect availaibility on then get the best day and time for the group as well as which users can attend.

Song Inventory Manager

As the first project dealing with multi table databases I chose to create a song inventory manager. So a user can record the song title and artist as well as genre and status. Where status relates to wish list, purchased or on computer. To have a continually up to date song wishlist and management system. When a song is added a seccond time it's desire level increases by one point.

I am an application developer with three previous years of web design experience. I prefer to focus on user interaction and business logic because I am passionate about data and how it is presented. Althoguh I am more then happy to work throughout the stack to understand the application better. I enjoy learning at a fast pace, increasing effeciency and being involved in the community.

Omaha Code School - Availability Overlap
Concept, development and design derived from the need to organize a get together of more then 5 people. I used Ruby, Sinatra, SQLite3 and later Active Record to obtain, hold and organize the information. The program will collect days and timeframes to poll for, then the availability for each person. It will tell you the best day and time to meet as well as the members who can attend on that day.

Point of Contact designer for three different Gallup products, requiring weekly check-ins with each project manager, my own project managers, other designers or developers on my team, and any other developers on similar projects to negate duplicate work. Assisted with brand standard creation, initated process documentation in addition to researching and selecting an interactive mockup tool.
